Qualification of Chief Ministers of India

• They must hold Indian citizenship.
• They must be 25 years of age.
• Candidate must be member of State Legislative Assembly (MLA). If an individual is not an MLA at the time of their appointment as Chief Minister of a State, they are obligated to contest an election in their respective constituency within six months of their appointment.
