The Delhi Police SI recruitment process consists of four main phases—Tier 1, PET/PST, Tier 2, and a medical exam. Candidates must qualify at each level to be considered for final selection. Both Tier 1 and Tier 2 are conducted as online computer-based exams.

Female candidates are not required to meet chest measurement standards. Ex-servicemen applying for the post must undergo the Physical Standard Test. Weight standards align with the highest level of the post. Height and chest relaxation are granted to candidates who provide a Proforma certificate from their home district authorities. Candidates failing to meet requirements can appeal to the Appellate Authority, whose decision is final.
Tier 2 is a computer-based exam focused solely on English Language and Comprehension. It includes 200 questions worth a total of 200 marks, and candidates are given 2 hours to complete the exam. Each incorrect answer results in a deduction of 0.25 marks.

Candidates who clear both written exams will undergo a medical assessment by doctors from CAPFs or recognized government hospitals. If a candidate is declared unfit, they will be informed officially. The final decision of the Medical Review Board is binding.

Candidates who successfully clear the Paper 2 examinations and proceed to the medical test will undergo assessment by medical officers from CAPFs/Central/State Government Hospital or Dispensary. Those found unfit are notified accordingly. Candidates have the option to apply for a review by the Medical Review Board. The decision of the Review Medical Board is deemed final, and no further appeals are accepted.
