The Staff Selection Commission has announced 2536 SSC CHSL Vacancy 2026 for Group C posts of Lower Divisional Clerk (LDC)/Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) and Data Entry Operator (DEO). The final number of vacancies will be confirmed later after the concerned departments complete the required document scrutiny.

According to the SSC CHSL 2026 Notification, candidates must indicate the Centre(s) in the online Application Form where they desire to take the examination.
Candidates have to give three centres in order of priority within the same Region. No request for change of Centre at any stage or Tier(s) of the examination will be considered later under any circumstances. Therefore, candidates should select the centres carefully and indicate them correctly in their applications.
The Commission will endeavour to accommodate candidates in the centres opted by them. However, the Commission reserves the right to:
Add new Centre(s) of Examination in addition to the list of Centres given in the SSC CHSL Notification.
Cancel any Centre from the aforesaid list.
Ask candidates opting for that Centre to appear from any other Centre.
Divert candidates of a Centre to some other Centre to take the examination.
Therefore, the SSC CHSL exam centre selected by a candidate may not necessarily be the final centre allotted by the Commission.
Candidates should keep the following points in mind while selecting their SSC CHSL exam city 2026:
Candidates must select their examination centres through the online Application Form.
Candidates have to provide three centre choices in order of priority.
All three centre choices must be within the same Region.
Requests for changing the examination centre at any stage/Tier(s) will not be considered.
The Commission may add or cancel examination centres.
The Commission may also divert candidates from one centre to another centre for the examination.
