Negative marking is an important part of the new exam pattern. In Paper 2, 0.50 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
Candidates should read each question carefully before answering. Random guessing can reduce the final score. Accuracy is important because the new paper has a shorter time limit.
Candidates should also check the official notification for the complete rules related to negative marking in Paper 1.
SSC has announced the SSC CPO recruitment for the year 2026 by releasing the official notification on the website. The authority has introduced new changes in the exam pattern for Paper 1 and paper 2.
The new SSC CPO pattern requires better time management. Candidates should make changes to their study plan according to the new exam structure.
For Paper 1, practice all four subjects regularly. Since each section has a 15-minute timer, sectional mock tests can help improve speed.
For Paper 2, preparation should not focus only on English. Reasoning, GK/GA and Quantitative Aptitude are also part of the paper. English has the highest weight, so it needs special attention.
Full-length mock tests should follow the new 1-hour format. This will help candidates understand the pressure of the actual exam and improve their speed and accuracy.
