Step 6: Download the response sheet for calculating the marks and know the CBT answers.
When a candidate downloads their response sheet, they will see three main things for every question:
The Question: The actual text and images of the question asked.
The Official Answer: The correct option as determined by the SSC (usually highlighted in green).
Your Response: The option you selected during the exam (usually shown in a box on the right side). If you left it blank, it will show as "Not Answered."
SSC removes the response sheet link once the objection window closes. Every candidate is advised to download and save a permanent copy of their response sheet immediately for future reference and score verification.
Self-Evaluation: A candidate can see exactly which questions they got right and which they got wrong by comparing their answers with the official ones.
Raw Score Calculation: It allows a candidate to calculate their tentative marks before the official results. You can add 3 marks for correct answers and subtract 1 mark for wrong ones in Session II.
Basis for Objections: If a candidate finds that the official answer key has an error, they need the Question ID from the response sheet to raise a formal challenge.
Performance Analysis: It helps a candidate identify their weak areas (like English or General Awareness) so they can improve for future exams.
Normalization Idea: By comparing response sheets with other students from different shifts, a candidate can guess if their shift was "Hard" or "Easy," which affects normalization.
Future Reference: The SSC removes the link after a few days (March 6, 2026). Saving it helps a candidate cross-check their final score once the marks are officially released.
