JKBOSE Class 12 English Syllabus 2025: English is a compulsory subject in the JKBOSE curriculum as it is included in the syllabus for all the streams. Whether a student opt for Science, Humanities, Arts or Home Science, they are required to study English as a core subject. 

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Secondary Education (JKBOSE) has released a combined syllabus for all the subjects and streams. The syllabus aligns with the National Education Policy 2020, focusing on holistic learning and skill development.

JKBOSE Class 12 English Syllabus 2025 Section-Wise Marks Division

The JKBOSE Class 12 English Syllabus 2025 is divided into three sections namely Section A, B, and C, each carrying a different marking scheme. 

Students must understand the JKBOSE 12th Exam Pattern 2025 in order to understand the types of questions to be prepared to score well in the subject.

The exam marks are divided into two categories: written exam (80 marks) and internal assessment (20 marks).

Each section puts emphasis on a certain skill every student must grasp.

Section A:  focuses on the reading comprehension which allows students to comprehend i.e., understand the text and answer some questions based on the passage.

The Internal Assessment tests students’ listening and speaking skills. It is based on the textbooks prescribed in the syllabus.
