UP Board Class 12th Result Statistics has been updated to the students on the result announcement. It is expected that around 24 lakh+ students have appeared for the Class 12 board examination. Total Registered Students: A total of 24,79,352 students registered for the Class 12 exams this year.
Students who Appeared: Out of the registered candidates, approximately 23,53,352 students actually appeared for the exams, as about 1.26 lakh students skipped the papers.
Gender-wise Performance: * Girls: Maintained their traditional lead with a significantly higher pass percentage (historically ranging 6–10% higher than boys).
Boys: Recorded a competitive pass rate, contributing to the overall 80.38% success threshold.
Evaluation Efficiency: The evaluation of nearly 3 crore answer sheets was completed in record time between March 18 and April 4, 2026.
Passing Criteria: To be declared successful, students were required to secure a minimum of 33% marks in each subject and in the overall aggregate.
Institutional vs Private: Institutional (regular) students generally saw a slightly higher success rate compared to those appearing as private candidates.
Division Statistics:
First Division: Awarded to students scoring 60% and above.
Second Division: Awarded to students scoring between 45% and 59.99%.
Third Division: Awarded to students scoring between 33% and 44.99%.
