These applicants must have passed the HSC or an equivalent test with Physics, Mathematics, and one of the following: Having a minimum aggregate grade point average in the aforementioned areas of 50% in Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Technical or Vocational subjects is required.
This category includes candidates whose state where they live is Maharashtra. These applicants are limited to one type of eligibility. The following five categories of candidatures.

Type A | Candidates who have passed the SSC as well as the HSC, Bachelor of Science, or Engineering Degree exams from a recognized school in the state of Maharashtra. candidate who was either born in Maharashtra or has their primary residence there. |
Type B | A candidate who does not fit into Type A but whose mother or father is from Maharashtra. |
Type C | Candidates who do not fit into Type A or Type B but whose mother or father works for the government of India, or a governmental-affiliated enterprise are classified. Before the deadline for submitting MHT CET applications, one or both parents must be assigned and reported to duty in Maharashtra. |
Type D | Candidates who do not fit into Types A, B, or C but whose parents are either now employed by or have retired from the Government of Maharashtra or a Government of Maharashtra Undertaking |
Type E | Candidates who passed the SSC and/or HSC exams from an accredited institution in the disputed Maharashtra-Karnataka Border Area and whose mother tongue is Marathi. |
This group includes applicants who are Indian citizens but don't live in Maharashtra. The candidates who do not live in the state can also apply for the MHT CET 2025 and take admission in the best colleges in Maharashtra.
Candidates from the State of Maharashtra who are members of a certain language or religious minority community, as announced by the government, come under this category.
Candidates for this category must have a Domicile Certificate, Residential Certificate, Residence, and Date of Birth Certificate issued by an authorized organization outside of the state of Maharashtra. Candidates from Jammu and Kashmir who are migrants would be given consideration for the OMS.
