MHT CET Eligibility Criteria 2025:  Candidates who want to take the MHT CET 2025 must meet specific requirements to be eligible. These requirements, established by the State Common Entrance Cell of Maharashtra, include information on nationality, age restrictions, the kind of candidature, and other similar clauses.

MHT CET Eligibility Criteria 2025

  • Nationality : Indian nationality is required for the aspirants.
  • Age limitations: The MHT-CET has no maximum age requirement.
  • Qualification : Candidates must have passed the 12th grade or an equivalent test from a recognized board or university with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as their required courses.
  • The minimum aggregate score for general category applicants in the 12th-grade test was 50%; the minimal score for those in the SC, ST, and OBC categories was 45%.
  • According to DTE Maharashtra, MHT CET would be used to fill 15% of the seats in All India Quota and 85% of the seats in private, unaided engineering colleges in Maharashtra.

MHT CET Eligibility Criteria 2025 Candidature-Based

Maharashtra state Candidates (State Quota) / All India Candidates (All India Quota)

  • Only citizens of India may apply for this category.
  • Candidates must have completed the HSC or an exam of equal standing, with Mathematics and Physics as required courses, along with Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, and Technical, or Vocational subjects.
  • Applicants must have earned at least 50% in these subjects (for general category applicants) and at least 45% (for candidates in reserved categories and those with disabilities who are residents of Maharashtra State alone).
  • Alternatively, candidates must be residents of Maharashtra State exclusively and have completed a Diploma in Engineering with at least a 50% aggregate score (for the General category) and a 45% aggregate score (for Reserved/Backward Category/Persons with Disabilities).

OR

  • should have obtained a B.Sc. degree with a minimum GPA of 50% from a UGC-recognized institution (for the General category) and at least 45% overall (for Persons with Disabilities/Backward Class) belonging to Maharashtra State only. These applicants need to have achieved success in Mathematics in the XIIth grade.

Candidates who are children of NRI, OCI, PIO, Indian Workers in the Gulf (CWIGC), and Foreign Nationals (FN)

These applicants must have passed the HSC or an equivalent test with Physics, Mathematics, and one of the following: Having a minimum aggregate grade point average in the aforementioned areas of 50% in Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Technical or Vocational subjects is required.

MHT CET Eligibility Criteria 2025 for Maharashtra State Candidature

This category includes candidates whose state where they live is Maharashtra. These applicants are limited to one type of eligibility. The following five categories of candidatures.

Candidature Type Eligibility Criterion
Type A Candidates who have passed the SSC as well as the HSC, Bachelor of Science, or Engineering Degree exams from a recognized school in the state of Maharashtra. candidate who was either born in Maharashtra or has their primary residence there.
Type B A candidate who does not fit into Type A but whose mother or father is from Maharashtra.
Type C Candidates who do not fit into Type A or Type B but whose mother or father works for the government of India, or a governmental-affiliated enterprise are classified. Before the deadline for submitting MHT CET applications, one or both parents must be assigned and reported to duty in Maharashtra.
Type D Candidates who do not fit into Types A, B, or C but whose parents are either now employed by or have retired from the Government of Maharashtra or a Government of Maharashtra Undertaking
Type E Candidates who passed the SSC and/or HSC exams from an accredited institution in the disputed Maharashtra-Karnataka Border Area and whose mother tongue is Marathi.

MHT CET Eligibility Criteria for All India Candidature

This group includes applicants who are Indian citizens but don't live in Maharashtra. The candidates who do not live in the state can also apply for the MHT CET 2025 and take admission in the best colleges in Maharashtra.

MHT CET Eligibility Criteria for Minority Candidature

Candidates from the State of Maharashtra who are members of a certain language or religious minority community, as announced by the government, come under this category.

  • If a candidate lives inside the disputed line between Maharashtra and Karnataka, they are eligible to apply.
  • Candidates must have passed the 10+2 exam from a school in the disputed border area and have the necessary MHT CET qualifying marks.
  • Applicants will need to provide a domicile certificate from the headmaster or principal of the college or school.
  • Candidates like this ought to be Marathi native speakers. Candidates must also show a certificate attesting to their passage of the 12th standard exam, issued by the principal or headmaster of the college.
  • The applicant must have taken a course in Marathi in the 10+2 or a comparable exam.

MHT CET Eligibility Criteria for Other State Candidature

Candidates for this category must have a Domicile Certificate, Residential Certificate, Residence, and Date of Birth Certificate issued by an authorized organization outside of the state of Maharashtra. Candidates from Jammu and Kashmir who are migrants would be given consideration for the OMS.

MHT CET Eligibility Criteria 2025 Exam Day Guidelines

State Common Admission Test Cell, Maharashtra, administers the state-level admission test known as MHT CET 2025. On the day of the exam, remember to observe these rules:

  • It is mandatory for candidates to be at the testing site at least half an hour before the specified reporting time on their admission card.
  • The candidate's MHT CET 2025 admission card and valid ID (passport, driver's license, UID card, etc.) must be brought to the exam location.
  • Applicants must adhere to the admissions card's dress code and wear comfortable clothing. Mobile phones, calculators, electronic devices, and other prohibited items are not allowed in the exam center.
  • Candidates must follow the invigilator's instructions during the exam.
  • Candidates can utilize the included rough sheets for basic work and computations.
  • Throughout the test, applicants need to effectively manage their time so that they can complete each question in the allotted time.
  • Candidates are not allowed to employ any unethical or illegal strategies throughout the exam. If found, it could lead to disqualification.
  • Lastly, maintain your composure and focus during the test. Remain composed and answer the questions without becoming anxious or agitated.

The MHT CET 2025 Exam will be conduced in April 2025 (Expected). To grant admission to various UG programs in Engineering, Architecture, Pharmacy, and other professions, the MHT CET.
