Candidates applying only for JFTA with +2 Vocational (Fisheries) must upload their +2 Vocational (Fisheries) certificate during online application. If eligible, they may directly appear for the Main Written Examination without the preliminary exam.
Candidates with +2 Vocational (Fisheries) or +2 Science applying for other posts along with JFTA must appear for the preliminary exam for those other posts.
JFTA candidates must know swimming and declare this in the online application form.
Candidates applying for the above posts must meet the following requirements:
Must be a citizen of India.
Should be of good character.
Must have sound health, good physique, and be free from organic defects or bodily infirmity.
If married, must not have more than one living spouse.
Must be able to read, write, and speak Odia fluently, and satisfy one of the following educational requirements:
Passed Middle School Examination with Odia as a language subject,
OR
Passed HSC Examination or equivalent, with Odia as the medium of examination in non-language subjects,
OR
Passed Odia as a language subject in the final examination of Class VII or above from a school or educational institution recognized by the Government of Odisha or the Central Government,
OR
Passed a test in Odia at Middle English School standard conducted by the School & Mass Education Department, Government of Odisha.
