OSSSC CRE Eligibility Criteria, Check Age Limit, Qualification, and Nationality

OSSSC CRE Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible for the OSSSC CRE exam, candidates must meet specific requirements related to age, education (such as completing 12th class), and nationality. Candidates must be Indian citizens and typically aged between 20-38 years, with age relaxations for reserved categories (like SC/ST or PWD). 

For educational qualifications, candidates must have passed the Class 12th examination or its equal from a known board or institution. (If the candidate does not meet the required eligibility criteria, he/she is not eligible for the exam.) 

Knowledge of the Odia language is mandatory (as the exam is of Orissa), including the ability to read, write, and speak Odia, given through educational qualifications or specific language exams. For some roles, meeting physical and medical standards is mandatory. Eligibility criteria vary based on the position assigned under CRE, and candidates cannot choose the post themselves.

OSSSC CRE Eligibility Criteria 2025 Overview

To be eligible for OSSSC CRE 2025, candidates must be Indian citizens, and their age should be between 21 and 38 years as of January 1, 2025, with age relaxations applicable to reserved categories. They must have passed at least class 12th or equivalent from a recognized board and possess knowledge of the Odia language. Check the detailed criteria below.

OSSSC CRE Educational Qualification

Candidates applying as Revenue Inspectors must have a Graduation degree in any subject with computer application proficiency. ICDS Supervisors (female only) require a graduation degree in Arts, Science, or Commerce. 

For Assistant Revenue Inspector (ARI) and Amin posts, candidates need to have completed class 12th  or a known Engineering diploma, along with basic computer knowledge. (It is very important to have at least basic knowledge of the computer.). The Statistical Field Surveyor role requires a pass in class 12th from a known board.

OSSSC CRE Nationality

The OSSSC CRE 2025 is only open to Indian citizens; foreign nationals are not eligible to apply.

Candidates must present valid identification, such as an Aadhaar card, passport, voter ID, or other official document, as proof of Indian citizenship (mandatory documents). Candidates cannot be citizens of any other nation.

OSSSC CRE Age Limit

As of January 1, 2025, candidates must be between the ages of 20 and 38. According to government regulations, candidates who are SC/ST, SEBC, or women are granted a five-year age relaxation, while those with disabilities are granted a ten-year relaxation.

ARI, Amin, Revenue Inspector, and other positions are typically subject to the age restrictions. Position-specific relaxations differ slightly.
