Steps to Fill WBCS Application Form 2024
Applicants may apply for WBCS 2024 through the WBPSC official website. Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements for EWS and who have previously submitted an application for the exam and have a valid "Annexure C" may update their information in this respect by using the link on the Commission's website. EWS applicants must print out their updated information and save a copy for future use. Applicants may apply for WBCS 2024 by doing the following:

Candidates need to fee the required amount to fill out WBCS Application Form 2024 :-
Rs. 210, including bank charges, will be the application fee for general candidates.
For candidates who are SC/ST, there won't be an application fee.

WBCS Selection Process 2024
The WBCS exam is usually administered by the WBPSC to select officers for a variety of posts. The WBCS Selection Process involves three stages i.e.
Preliminary, Main, and Interview. To get to the final selection round, candidates must pass each step. The preliminary round will be qualifying only, meaning the preliminary marks will not be included in the final merit list. There is only one GS paper for the Prelims.
The WBCS 2024 Mains exam consists of one optional topic paper, two 200-mark exams, and six papers. WBPCS makes available a list of optional topics on its official website. Any optional topic on the list may be selected by candidates based on their interests and preferences. To determine the merit list, the results of the WBCS 2024 Personality Test will be added to the results of the WBCS Mains exam. The list of qualified applicants will be suggested for recruitment based on the merit list.

WBCS Interview
Candidates selected in order of merit based on the results of the Main Examination for all services and posts included in Groups A, B, C, and D will be required to appear for a Personality Test. During this test, each candidate will be asked questions on general interest topics. The purpose of the test is to evaluate the candidate's personal qualities, such as alertness of mind, ability to present clear and logical arguments, intellectual and moral integrity, leadership skills, and range of interests.
WBCS Result 2024
The WBCS 2024 Result will be available at least one month after the exam date for each stage. Candidates who qualify in the prelims exam will be eligible to appear in the mains exam. Only those who qualify in the mains will be called for an interview/personality test. The final result will be determined based on the marks obtained in the main and the interview round.
