As of 2025, the fees for the IELTS Academic and General Training tests range from £215 to £250, depending on the test centre location. For those requiring the IELTS for UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI), the fee is typically £240, while the IELTS Life Skills test is priced at £170. IELTS Fees in UK: Overview
The widely recognized and popular International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is a very difficult English language exam. It was created specifically to examine students' language proficiency in situations where English is the primary language of communication. Students may apply to the exam if they wish to work or study abroad. Students must pay a registration fee to take the IELTS exam. 1. Standard IELTS Tests

IELTS Cancellation Fee
It can be necessary for students to postpone their IELTS appointment because of unexpected events. Students would get their money back after the IELTS administrative fee of 25% is deducted. Three weeks before the IELTS exam date, the computer-delivered exam must be canceled. Five weeks before the IELTS exam date, the paper-based examination must be canceled.- Students will receive a refund, less an administration fee if they cancel their IELTS application more than five weeks before the exam date.
- Students will be charged the entire amount if they postpone or cancel the exam within five weeks of the scheduled date unless they have an urgent medical necessity to do so.
- Students will not be eligible for a refund if they are unable to show up for the exam, this will be considered as a cancellation.
IELTS Rescheduling Fee
Students must submit their request five weeks before the scheduled exam date if they would like to change it. Students also have to pay a 25% cancellation charge for the administrative fee. Students must choose a new date for the IELTS exam that is no more than three months away from the previous exam date if they would like to modify it. A student may only request one postponement or adjustment of the IELTS exam date. Together with the IELTS rescheduling fee, students will be required to pay an administrative fee of INR 3,312 for rescheduling their exam dates.IELTS Rechecking Fees
If students are not happy with the results of their UKVI, computer-based, IELTS General, or Academic test, they can ask for a retest. They must complete an EOR (Enquiry on Results) form if they would like to review their results. The fee for retaking the IELTS exam in India is INR 12,750. If the student's score is revised to a better score, the reporting fees for the IELTS retest will be fully refunded.IELTS Exam Fee for Additional TRF
Students may ask for extra results from the IELTS exam to be forwarded to the universities of their choice. There will be an additional charge to submit more Test Report Forms (TRFs) with the results of the IELTS exam. Students must go to their login area at www.ieltsidpindia.com to submit an online application. There are expenses of INR 250 per university for any additional score reporting. Ans- Students cannot schedule an IELTS test without a copy of their valid passport. It is specifically stated in the terms and conditions of the IELTS application form that to apply for the exam, students must have a valid passport.

Ans- The fee for the IELTS depends on the format type that students select. The exam costs in India for both the computer-based and paper-based versions of the IELTS are Rs. 17,000.
