AP DSC Eligibility 2025: The Andhra Pradesh Department of School Education has announced the AP MEGA DSC notification for 16,347 vacancies. To be eligible for recruitment, candidates must be between 18 and 44 years old as of July 1, 2024. However, the age limit is extended to 49 years for SC/ST/BC/EWS candidates and 54 years for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities, ensuring inclusivity in the hiring process. This age limit is applicable for all the posts notified by the AP MEGA DSC Recruitment 2025.
Candidates must hold an Intermediate Certificate issued by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh, or an equivalent certificate recognized by the Board of Intermediate Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
Academic degrees must be obtained from universities recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
Teacher Education Programs should be accredited by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).
Special Education D.Ed./D.El.Ed/B.Ed. or equivalent courses must be recognized by both the NCTE and the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
Candidates must qualify in the AP Teacher Eligibility Test (APTET) or the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for positions such as School Assistants, Secondary Grade Teachers, TGT Special Education, and SGT Special Education.
TET qualification is not necessary for the roles of School Assistant (Physical Education) and Physical Education Teachers (PET).

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree with the main subject as specified (or one of the three equal optional subjects) or a Bachelor’s Degree in Oriental Language (B.O.L) or its equivalent, or a Post Graduate Degree from a university recognized by the UGC, achieving at least 50% marks in either Graduation or Post Graduation.
For SC/ST/BC/Persons with Benchmark Disabilities candidates, the minimum required marks shall be 45%. Additionally, candidates must complete a B.Ed. or B.Ed. (Special Education) with the specified methodology, or equivalent training, from a university recognized by the NCTE/RCI.
Candidates must hold an Intermediate Certificate with a minimum of 50% marks. For SC/ST/BC/Persons with Benchmark Disabilities, the required minimum is 45%. This certificate should be issued by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh, or an equivalent certificate recognized by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
For the positions of TGT Languages, candidates must have a Graduation or Post Graduation from a UGC-recognized university with at least 50% marks. For SC/ST/BC/Persons with Benchmark Disabilities, the minimum required marks are 45%. For TGT Non-Languages, candidates must hold a Graduation degree from a UGC-recognized university in the relevant subject(s) with a minimum of 50% marks, and the minimum for SC/ST/BC/Persons with Benchmark Disabilities is 45%.
Candidates must hold a Post Graduate degree with a minimum of 50% marks (or its equivalent) from a university recognized by the UGC. For SC/ST/BC/Persons with Benchmark Disabilities, the minimum required marks are 45%. Additionally, candidates must possess a B.Ed. or B.Ed. in Special Education with the relevant subject methodology, recognized by the NCTE/RCI, or an equivalent degree from a UGC-recognized university.
Candidates must hold an Intermediate certificate issued by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh, or an equivalent certificate recognized by the Board of Intermediate Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh. Additionally, candidates should possess an Under Graduate Diploma in Physical Education (U.G.D.P.Ed.) recognized by the NCTE, or a Bachelor’s Degree along with a B.P.Ed. or M.P.Ed. recognized by the NCTE.
Candidates must have completed a two-year integrated Post Graduate Course from a Regional Institute of Education under NCERT, or hold a Master's Degree from a university recognized by the UGC, with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks. For SC/ST/BC/Persons with Benchmark Disabilities, the required minimum marks are 45%.
As per the AP DSC Eligibility 2025, the candidates who are permanent resident of Andhra Pradesh will be allowed to appear for the exam. The candidates who are born in Andhra Pradesh state or have completed their class 10th and 12th will be offered the perks applicable to their categories.
As of now, there is no mention of the AP DSC maximum attempts for the examination. This means that the candidates are allowed to appear for the exam as many times as they want.
They should have passed either the SSC (or its equivalent), Intermediate (or its equivalent), or Degree Examination in the relevant medium of instruction.
They must have studied the concerned language as:
First Language in SSC (or its equivalent)
Part-I in Intermediate (or its equivalent)
Second Language in Intermediate (or its equivalent)
A subject in their Degree program.
Additionally, candidates with a training qualification of Special B.Ed. or B.El.Ed. recognized by the NCTE/RCI are eligible to apply for the positions of Principal, PGT, and TGT in general schools. However, they are required to complete a six-month special program in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE.
