Assam Teacher Eligibility 2024: Directorate of Secondary Education Assam has announced the Assam Teacher Eligibility 2024 online. Candidates who wish to make a career as an Assam TGT or PGT teacher should go through the notification PDF. As per that, the Assam TGT Age limit is 21 years. The candidates must have qualified for the Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject with a B.Ed degree from a recognised university.

Assam Teacher Age Limit 2024

| Arts & Science | For the post of Graduate Teacher (Arts), the candidate must be Arts / Commerce Graduate or Post Graduate in Arts / Commerce having from recognized University with at least 50% marks in either Graduation or Post Graduation (or its equivalent) and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from National Council for Teacher Education recognized Institution(s). |
| Hindi | Pravin / Ratna in Hindi with 50% marks and degree qualification with 50% marks or post Graduate degree in Arts with 50% marks from any recognized University B.T. / B.Ed. degree from any recognized University (PARANGAT to be treated as B.Ed. degree only for the purpose of Hindi teaching). |
Assam Teacher PGT Educational Qualification
- The applicant must be a postgraduate in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks (or its equivalent) from a recognized University and should possess a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) qualification from an institution recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education. Degrees obtained in off-campus and distance education mode shall not be considered as valid
- The candidate shall have to read the same subject as one of the subjects in degree level
- In case of Bodo Medium School, the applicant must have passed HSLC or equivalent examination with Bodo language as one of the subjects or read upto HSLC level in Bodo Medium School
Assam Teacher Domicile 2024
According to the official notification, the candidates who belong to Assam state will be considered a permanent domicile of the state. With this, those candidates who have completed class 10th/12th from the state board or have been born in the state will be offered reserved benefits.Assam Teacher Scribe 2024
- Candidates with OH (Orthopaedically Handicapped) with at least One Arm and One Leg, LV (Low Vision), HI (Hearing Impaired) will be considered under the reservation category having a minimum of 40% of relevant disability
- The final selection of PwD candidates shall be subject to further medical examination
- The PwD candidate claiming reservation under PwD category must bring a PwD Certificate/ UDID Card issued by the competent authority. PwD candidates eligible for scribe have to obtain a certificate from the concerned District Commissioner
