Vacancy Details

BHU has announced 55 posts across Principal, PGT, TGT and PRT positions. Vacancies include subjects such as English, Hindi, Mathematics, Economics, Psychology, History, Physics, Social Studies, Science, Home Science, Music, Physical Education and various Sanskrit-related disciplines.

Eligibility Criteria

Principal (CHBS, CHGS, SRSV):

• Master’s degree with required subject specifications depending on the school.

• B.Ed. or an equivalent qualification from an NCTE-recognized institution.

• Required experience as Principal/Vice-Principal/PGT/TGT across specified pay levels.

• Experience in boys’ or girls’ schools as applicable and working knowledge of computers.

• Tenure of 5 years, extendable.

PGT:

• Master’s degree with 50% marks in the relevant subject or integrated M.Sc. from NCERT.

• B.Ed./equivalent qualification.

• Proficiency in Hindi and English; for SRSV, Hindi and Sanskrit.

TGT:

• Integrated degree from NCERT or Bachelor’s degree with 50% marks.

• B.Ed./equivalent qualification and CTET.

• Proficiency in Hindi and English; for SRSV, Hindi and Sanskrit.

Special TGT:

• Music: Degree in Music with 50% marks.

• Physical Education: B.P.Ed. with 50% marks.

PRT:

• Senior Secondary with 50% marks and relevant teacher education qualification (D.El.Ed./B.El.Ed./Special Education).

• CTET qualified.

• Proficiency in Hindi and English; for SRSV, Hindi and Sanskrit.

Age Criteria (as on 5 January 2026)

• Principal: 35–55 years

• PGT: Up to 40 years

• TGT: Up to 35 years
