CTET Eligibility Criteria 2026 

Candidates applying for CTET 2026 Paper 1 or Paper 2 must meet the educational qualifications set by NCTE and CBSE. CTET Eligibility varies based on the teaching level selected by the applicant.

CTET Paper 1 Eligibility (Classes 1 to 5)

Candidates must have any one of the following qualifications:

  • Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks along with D.El.Ed
  • Senior Secondary with 50% marks along with B.El.Ed
  • Graduation with B.Ed
  • Diploma in Education (Special Education)

CTET Paper 2 Eligibility (Classes 6 to 8)

Applicants must fulfill any one of these criteria:

  • Graduation with D.El.Ed
  • Graduation with B.Ed
  • Senior Secondary with B.A.Ed / B.Sc.Ed
  • Graduation with a Special Education qualification
  • Integrated B.Ed–M.Ed program

 Final-year candidates of teacher education courses are also eligible to apply.
