IGNOU BEd Eligibility 2025: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) offers a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and has released the eligibility criteria for IGNOU B.Ed 2025. Candidates must have a graduation degree with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories) from a recognized university. Those with a Bachelor’s in Engineering/Technology need 55% marks. The program is open to trained in-service teachers and candidates with an NCTE-recognized teacher education program. The exam is conducted offline once a year. Interested candidates must qualify for the entrance exam to secure admission.

IGNOU BEd Educational Qualification
Candidates who qualify for the basic educational qualification as per IGNOU BEd Eligibility 2025 are allowed to attempt the examination. The following section can be checked to get an idea of the same.
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A./B.Sc./B.Com./B.Humanities) or Master’s Degree in Science, Social Science, Commerce, or Humanities with at least 50% marks.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology with a specialization in Science and Mathematics with at least 55% marks.

- Maximum Duration: 5 years
- No re-admission or extension is allowed beyond the maximum period.

IGNOU BEd Domicile
The candidate should be a citizen of India. The IGNOU BEd Eligibility 2025 has not prescribed any domicile for the candidates. This means that as per the IGNOU B.Ed Exam Eligibility, the candidates can apply for the exam from any state.

IGNOU BEd Reservation Policy
- SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy layer)/PWD candidates get a 5% relaxation in minimum eligibility marks as per government rules.
- EWS candidates get a reservation as per Central Government norms.
- Special reservation is available for Kashmiri Migrants and war widows as per IGNOU rules.
