JSSC Para Teacher Educational Qualification 2026

JSSC Para Teacher Educational Qualification 2026 is based on the post and class level:

For Primary Teachers (Class 1 to 5)

• Passed Higher Secondary (+2) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

• OR Passed Higher Secondary (+2) with at least 50% marks and a 4-year B.El.Ed degree.

• OR Passed Graduation with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

• Must have passed the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JTET) for Class 1 to 5. Candidates with CTET or neighboring state TET must clear JTET within 3 years of joining.

For Upper Primary Teachers (Class 6 to 8)

• Graduation degree in the relevant stream (Science, Mathematics, Social Science, or Language).

• 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, or B.Ed., or 4-year B.El.Ed / B.A.Ed / B.Sc.Ed.

• Passed JTET for Class 6 to 8. (CTET or neighboring state TET pass candidates must clear JTET within 3 years of joining).

Note: A 5% relaxation in minimum marks is given to SC, ST, EBC-1, BC-2, and Divyang candidates. A 7% relaxation is given to PVTG candidates.

JSSC Para Teacher Age Limit 2026

The age calculation date is 01.08.2026. The minimum age to apply is 21 years.

The maximum age limits for general categories are:

• Unreserved & EWS: 35 years

• EBC-1 & BC-2 (Male): 37 years

• Women (Unreserved/EWS/EBC-1/BC-2): 38 years

• SC/ST (Male & Female): 40 years

Age Relaxation for Para Teachers

Working Para Teachers get age relaxation equal to their total service period. The maximum upper age limit for them can go up to 58 years. Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwD) get an extra 10 years of relaxation.

JSSC Para Teacher Nationality 2026

• The candidate must be a citizen of India.

• Local candidates from Jharkhand who want reservation must possess a valid Local Resident Certificate issued by a competent authority (Circle Officer or Sub-Divisional Officer).

JSSC Para Teacher Work Experience 2026

• It is a specific category reserved for Assistant Teachers (Para Teachers) working under the Jharkhand Education Project Council (JEPC), Ranchi.

• The teacher must have completed at least 2 years of continuous service on the publication date of the official notification.

• The candidate must be currently working on that date.

• An official Experience and Clean Record Certificate must be issued by the Block Education Extension Officer (for Class 1 to 5) or Area Education Officer (for Class 6 to 8).

JSSC Para Teacher Number of Attempts 2026

There is no fixed limit on the number of attempts for the JSSC Para Teacher exam. Candidates can apply as many times as they want, provided they fulfil the educational rules and stay within the prescribed upper age limits.
