Step 2:  Click on the "New Registration" link on the home page.

Step 3: Add the applicant's name, date of birth, caste, category, educational details, and address accurately.

Step 4: Select the applicable category (Category 1, 2, 3, or 4) based on educational qualifications.

Step 5:  Upload a clear passport-size photograph with a plain background according to the size guidelines.

Step 6: Verify the entered information using the "Edit Application" option. Click on "Final Confirmation" once verified, as modifications are prohibited after this step.

Step 7: Pay the requisite fee online through SBI e-Pay using net banking or credit/debit card.

Step 8: Take the application form and fee receipt printout carefully.

KTET Application Fees 2026 must be paid online via SBI e-Pay using net banking, debit card, or credit card. The fee structure is outlined below:

• General / OBC Category: ₹500 per category

• SC / ST / Differently Abled Candidates: ₹250 per category

KTET Eligibility Criteria 2026

KTET Eligibility parameters vary by category:

• Category 1 (Lower Primary Classes - Paper I): Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary with at least 45% marks, along with a Trained Teachers Certificate (TTC) / D.Ed / D.El.Ed, or 50% marks with B.El.Ed / D.Ed (Special Education).

• Category 2 (Upper Primary Classes - Paper II): Bachelor’s degree with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education / TTC / D.Ed / D.El.Ed, or a Bachelor's degree with 45% marks and B.Ed, or Higher Secondary with 50% marks and B.El.Ed / B.A.Ed / B.Sc.Ed.

• Category 3 (High School Classes - Paper III): B.A/B.Sc/B.Com. Score with at least 45% marks along with a B.Ed. The degree in the relevant subject.

• Category 4 (Language & Specialist Teachers): Approved certificate, diploma, or degree in teaching for specific languages (Arabic, Hindi, Sanskrit, Urdu), Art, Craft, or Physical Education as per Government norms.

Age Limit: No upper age limit is prescribed for this examination.
