Candidates need to appear for the state-level eligibility exam to apply for the teaching profiles in the Maharashtra region. The apply online link is active for the candidates on the official website. Candidates should fill out the application form and submit it before 16th April 2026.
Candidates who are interested in beginning their teaching career in the state of Maharashtra. They need to appear for the MAHA TET entrance examination. It is a separate paper organised for the classes 1 to 5 and classes 6 to 8 teaching profiles.

MAHA TET Notification 2026 has been published on the official website on 27th March 2026. Candidates who want to pursue their career in the state of Maharashtra. They need to appear for the MAHA TET entrance examination. The score generated after appearing in the exam is required to apply for the teaching profiles in the state.
MAHA TET 2026 Exam has been scheduled for 21st June 2026 to be held at multiple test centres located in India. Candidates will get thier call letters from 9th June to 21st June 2026 as per the schedule.
MAHA TET Application Form 2026 is available for the candidates to fill out the online forms and appear for the examination. Candidates need to visit the portal and fill out the forms from 27th March to 16th April 2026. Submit the forms through the online mode without missing the deadline.

Candidates need to fulfil the MAHA TET 2026 Eligibility Criteria requirements. There are separate eligibility requirements for the candidates interested in applying for classes 1 to 5 and classes 6 to 8.
For Paper I (Classes 1–5): Candidates must have passed Higher Secondary (12th) with at least 50% marks and completed one of the following: a 2-year Diploma in Primary Education, a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed), a Diploma in Teacher Education (D.T.Ed), or a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed).
For Paper II (Classes 6–8): Candidates should possess a Graduation degree along with a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), or have passed Higher Secondary with a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) or a 4-year B.A.Ed.
MAHA TET Selection Process 2026 is designed to determine candidates' suitability for teaching positions at the primary and upper primary levels. The examination assesses a candidate's teaching aptitude and knowledge.
Candidates must appear for Paper I (for Classes 1-5) and/or Paper II (for Classes 6-8), both of which are objective-type examinations.
Successful candidates will receive an eligibility certificate, which qualifies them to apply for teaching vacancies in Maharashtra schools. There are no further stages, like interviews or skill tests, directly associated with this eligibility notification.
MAHA TET 2026 Syllabus includes the list of topics that every candidate needs to study while preparing for the exam. There are two papers for the MAHA TET Exam. Paper 1 is for candidates applying for the class 1 to 5 teaching profiles.
It includes subjects such as Environmental Studies, Child Development and Pedagogy, Mathematics, and English. The subjects included in the paper 2 for classes 6 to 8 include Child Development and Pedagogy, Language 1, English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Science.
Candidates need to score the MAHA TET Qualifying Marks to pass the exam and get the certificate.

SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PWD: 82 marks out of 150 marks
MAHA TET Exam Pattern 2026 helps candidates understand the kind of questions asked in the paper. Around 150 objective questions are asked in the MAHA TET Exam in Papers 1 and 2. Candidates get 2.5 hours to solve the paper. There is no negative marking.
