The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has set the age limit for candidates applying for the posts of Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) and Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) in 2025. The upper age limit for TGT candidates is 35 years, while the upper age limit for PGT candidates is 40 years. Age relaxation is available for reserved category candidates and persons with disabilities (PWDs).

Note that all the concessions mentioned below will be concurrent. If a person is eligible for more than one concession, only the one with the highest permissible limit will be granted, subject to the maximum age limit prescribed under the relevant rules. However, there is no age bar for regular NVS Employees.

The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has specified no bar on the number of attempts for the NVS Recruitment Exam. This means that candidates can apply for the post until they cross their maximum age restrictions and other eligibility factors. The removal of the bar on the number of attempts for the NVS Recruitment 2025 is a positive move for candidates.
Candidates don't need previous working experience while applying for the NVS PGT Recruitment process. However, Candidates who have experience working in a residential school and knowledge of Computer applications will be given preference. The candidates don't need to have previous working experience while applying for the NVS PGT Recruitment process.
