
Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) 2025 is a state-level test that is administered by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha (BSE) to certify individuals to teach in government-recognised primary and upper primary schools in Odisha. It is in two papers: Primary level teachers (Classes 1 to 5) Paper 1 and upper primary level teachers (Classes 6 to 8) Paper 2.
OTET 2025 test is an annual test, and applications can be made between November 12 and November 25, 2025, and the test is planned to be held on December 17, 2025.

A candidate should meet some criteria before registering to take the exam of OTET exam to guarantee the validity of candidature. These criteria are nationality, age and educational qualifications. The candidate must be an Indian citizen residing at Odisha. There is no specification as to the upper age limit but applicants are expected to achieve the necessary standards of education according to the paper selected.
No strict age limit exists on the age to the OTET 2025, and thus the aspirants of different ages could apply. The age limit is 18 years on average. Some reserved groups like SC/ST, women, persons with disabilities and former military personnel can also have applicable relaxations of age according to the state government standards.
