The first shift of the UP LT Grade Teacher Exam 2025, conducted on 7 December, has successfully concluded. The Science paper was held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, and students exiting the exam centres reported that the paper was quite challenging, especially in the General Studies (GS) portion.
While the difficulty aligns with the typical pattern of commission-set questions, students noted that the GS section for today’s shift was significantly tougher compared to the previous day’s exams (6 December), which had two shifts:
9:00 AM – 11:00 AM (Hindi)
3:00 PM – 5:00 PM (Mathematics)
Many students felt that the exam lacked uniform balance across subjects, with today’s Science shift focusing more on analytical and statement-based questions rather than direct questions. This required candidates to have a strong conceptual understanding and reasoning ability, rather than relying solely on previous year questions for practice.
Difficulty Level: Moderate to High
GS Portion: Tougher than previous shifts
Question Pattern: Predominantly statement-based and assertion-reason type questions
Student Feedback: Challenging, requiring analytical thinking

Compared to 6 December, direct questions were fewer, and analytical reasoning questions dominated.

Previous year question practice can help, but today’s exam required a deeper conceptual understanding.
