For WBSSC Assistant Teacher 2025, candidates must be Indian Nationals and between the ages of 21 years and 40 years on January 1, 2025. For Secondary (IX-X), candidates must have completed either their graduation or post-graduation with a minimum of 50% marks and B.Ed/4-year B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed. For Higher Secondary (XI-XII), a diploma which includes a graduation with post-graduation with a minimum of 50% marks and B.Ed. Age relaxation will be provided as per government rules.

WBSSC Assistant Teacher Eligibility Criteria 2025

Candidates for the WBSSC Assistant Teacher Application Form 2025 must be of Indian nationality, aged 21-40 years as of January 1, 2025, with a relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC candidates, and 8 years for PH Candidates as per the government of India. 

For Classes IX-X, a minimum of a graduate/postgraduate qualification, with a minimum of 50% marks, and B.Ed. graduate; or with 4 years of B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed. qualification. For Classes XI-XII, a postgraduate qualification with a minimum of 50% marks and B.Ed. or the B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Edu degree is required. 

For the eligible reserved category, a 5% mark reduction specification will be allowed. Male candidates are not eligible to apply for positions at girls' schools. For a detail idea, go through this page below.

Ed. for Secondary level. For Higher Secondary level, candidates should have at least 50% of marks in the Post-Graduate degree along with B.Ed.
