The agency has announced that the UGC NET Exam 2024 Cancelled for June 2024 session. The examination for UGC NET (National Eligibility Test) commenced on 18th June 2024. Why was the UGC NET Exam 2024 Cancelled?
The Ministry of Education has made the announcement of the NTA UGC NET 2024 June Exam Cancelled. The major reason for the cancellation of the examination was the compromised integrity of the examination. On 19th June, 2024, the University Grants Commission (UGC) received certain inputs from the National Cyber Crime Threat Analytics Unit of the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) under the Ministry of Home Affairs on the Examination. These inputs prima-facie indicate that the integrity of the NTA UGC NET June 2024 Exam may have been compromised.
To ensure the highest level of transparency and sanctity of the examination process, the Ministry of Education, Government of India has decided that the
UGC NET 2024 Exam
Cancelled. Simultaneously, the matter is being handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (C.B.I.) for thorough investigation in the matter.
UGC NET Paper Leak 2024
Amidst the ongoing controversy surrounding the UGC NET Exam 2024 cancellation, the latest reports suggest an alleged paper leak hours before the exam. Leading dailies are reporting that intelligence agencies have found that the UGC NET Paper was also leaked similar to the NEET Exam. This is considered to be one of the major reasons behind the ministry taking the decision of UGC NET June 2024 Exam Cancelled.
When will be NTA UGC NET 2024 June Exam New Dates be Announced?
The agency has ordered a fresh probe into the UGC NET Exam 2024 Cancelled and the matter has been passed into the hands of CBI. As of now, no details have been released regarding the release of the new dates for the NTA UGC NET June 2024 Exam. However, the same will be announced by the National Testing Agency soon.
NTA UGC NET 2024 June Exam Stats
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has conducted UGC NET June 2024 for 83 subjects in two different shifts on 18th June 2024. The UGC NET June 2024 examination has been conducted successfully at 1205 Exam Centres in 317 cities across the country for 11,21,225 candidates. Out of the total registered candidates, ~ 81 % candidates appeared for the exam. In the UGC NET December 2023 Exam, the attendance was 73.6% percentage. UGC NET June 2024 Examination, the total of 11,21,225 registered candidates comprised 6,35,587 Females, 4,85,579 Males and 59 Third Gender candidates.
