  • Candidates for General, Unreserved, and General-EWS must receive at least 55% of the possible points in their master's degree or an equivalent exam.
  • Candidates belonging to the OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/SC/ST/PwD/Transgender categories must secure at least 50% aggregate marks in their Master’s degree or equivalent examination.

Age Limit

  • There is no upper age limit for applying for the Assistant Professor post through UGC NET.
  • However, there might be an age limit for eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) if it's offered (typically 30 years).
