The India Energy Week 2025 is currently underway, taking place from February 11 to 14, 2025, in New Delhi. The timings for this event are 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. India Energy Week 2025 Venue

India Energy Week (IEW) 2025 is being held at Yashobhoomi - India International Convention & Expo Centre (IICC) in Dwarka, New Delhi. This is the third edition of IEW, jointly organized by the Federation of Indian Petroleum Industry (FIPI) and DMG Events, under the patronage of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.

India's Energy Policy

India's National Energy Policy (NEP) is a framework that guides the country's energy sector, taking into account various technologies and fuel options. It has four key objectives:

The government has targeted to have 500 GW of non-fossil capacity by 2030. Currently, India is working to reduce its emissions intensity by 33%-35% by 2030, compared to 2005 levels.

• Biofuels Industry Growth: With 500 million metric tonnes of sustainable feedstock, India’s biofuels industry is ready for rapid expansion.
• Global Biofuels Alliance: Established during India's G20 presidency, now with 28 nations and 12 international organizations, promoting waste-to-wealth strategies.
• Hydrocarbon Exploration: India continues to explore its sedimentary basins with reforms like the Open Acreage Licensing Policy (OALP).
• Natural Gas Expansion: India is increasing its natural gas supply through pipeline infrastructure.
