UPSC has clear rules for centre allocation, and understanding them early can help you avoid unnecessary stress later. Here are the key rules you should keep in mind before selecting your UPSC exam centre.
UPSC follows a “first-apply-first allot” system for exam centre allocation.
You should apply early to improve your chances of getting your preferred exam centre.
Once seats at a centre are filled, that centre becomes unavailable for non-PwBD candidates.
If you belong to the PwBD category, you can still choose your preferred centre even after normal capacity is full.
UPSC does not allow requests for exam centre changes after the application form is submitted.
You must appear only at the exam centre mentioned on your e-Admit Card. Entry at any other examination venue will not be permitted.
PW Quarterly Current Affairs UPSC Jan includes important events, government schemes, MCQs, and revision support for competitive exams.
You must strictly follow the exam centre rules to avoid disqualification:
Reach the exam centre well before the reporting time mentioned in the admit card
Carry your printed admit card and a valid photo ID proof
Electronic devices such as mobile phones, smartwatches, and calculators are strictly prohibited
Use only a black ballpoint pen for the OMR sheet
Follow the seating arrangement and the invigilator’s instructions carefully
Do not indulge in any unfair means or malpractice
Exit the exam hall only after instructions from the invigilators
The UPSC Mains 2025 is just a few months away. Be ready for this challenge with PW UPSC Courses!
