The GPSSB has announced a total of 350 vacancies for the post of Additional Assistant Engineer (Civil), Class-3. The vacancies are distributed across various categories and District Panchayats.

GPSSB Additional Assistant Engineer Eligibility Criteria 2025

The candidates should meet the following conditions as of the closing date of application (November 6, 2025) with regard to Nationality, Age Limit, and Educational Qualification.

Nationality

The candidate should be an Indian citizen.

 Age Limit

The age limit for the job is a maximum of 33 years for male candidates belonging to the General category, with general and specific relaxations as per government rules. The age cut-off date will be November 6, 2025. The upper age limit after applying all relaxations should not exceed 45 years.

Educational Qualification

The applicant should have a Diploma in Civil Engineering degree earned from a Technical Examination Board or any University/Institution set up or incorporated under a Central or State Act in India, or any other equivalent degree. Candidates should be well conversant with the Gujarati and Hindi languages.

The recruitment for GPSSB Additional Assistant Engineer (Civil) is mainly based on a one-stage written competitive examination only with verification of documents.

 Written Exam: The candidate will initially appear for a Competitive Written Examination. This will be an Objective Type (MCQ) examination conducted through Computer-Based Recruitment Test (CBRT) or Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) system.

 Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates in the written examination based on the merit list will be invited for Document Verification (DV). They are required to bring all original certificates for verification related to education, age, caste, and other qualifications.
