MECL Recruitment 2025: The Mineral Exploration and Consultancy Limited, a Mini-Ratna-I CPSE, under the Ministry of Mines, Government of India, has released an official notification for the recruitment of Executive Trainee Geology & Executive Trainee (Geophysics) through UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist Examination 2023. A total of 30 openings are available for the Geology and Geophysics disciplines.

The MECL Executive Trainee Recruitment 2025 has been announced to fill up 30 vacancies. Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements will be able to submit their online application within the specific timeline (May 15 to June 5, 2025).

Educational Qualification

• Geology: M.Sc./M.Tech./M.Sc.Tech. in Geology/Applied Geology/Earth Science/Exploration Geology/Mineral Exploration/Geological Technology or equivalent from a UGC & AICTE-approved university.
• Geophysics: M.Sc./M.Tech./M.Sc.Tech. in Geophysics/Applied Geophysics/Geophysical Technology or equivalent from a recognized university.

Age Limit

The maximum age of candidates should not exceed 28 years as on 23rd April 2025.

MECL Executive Trainee Selection Process 2025

The MECL Selection Process for Executive Trainee posts is explained below:

• Candidates must have cleared the Written Round of the UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist Examination 2023 but were not recommended for final selection by UPSC.
• The merit list will be prepared in decreasing order of marks scored in the Combined Geo-Scientist Examination 2023 for each discipline (Geology & Geophysics), category-wise. 
• Shortlisted candidates will be called for Document Verification and Medical Examination.

MECL Executive Trainee Salary 2025

Candidates appointed for the role of Executive Trainee in MECL Ltd. will be entitled to a basic pay of Rs. 40,000 per month. After completing a one-year probation period, candidates will be placed on the E1 Grade with a pay scale of Rs. 40,000-1,40,000.
