The mode of selection for SAIL Operator-cum-Technician (Trainee) – (OCTT) Recruitment 2024 includes the stages listed below:

• Computer Based Test - Computer Based Test (CBT) will consist of 100 Objective type questions from two sections i.e. 50 questions to asked from Domain Knowledge & 50 on Aptitude Test. The duration of the CBT would be 90 minutes. The minimum qualifying marks in the CBT will be determined based on the 50 percentile score for UR/EWS posts & 40 percentile for SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy Layer)/PwBDs posts. The qualifying marks will be calculated separately for each post/discipline.
• Certificate Verification - After the computer based test, the qualified candidates will be called for certificate verification to verify their documents by the authorities to appoint them for the position.

SAIL OCTT Salary 2024

i) Candidates selected for the Operator-cum-Technician (Trainee) – (OCTT) posts will be required to undergo a training of 2 years, which can be extended for a further period of 2 (two) years, as per requirement. During the training period, candidates will be paid consolidated pay of Rs.16,100/- for the 1st year and Rs.18,300/- for the 2nd year of training. They will also get free medical facility & leave etc. as per the rules of the organization.

ii) On successful completion of training, they shall be considered for regular employment in S-3 grade in the scale of pay of Rs. 26,600-3%-38,920/-(S-3). On regularization, the emoluments will be provided including Basic Pay, Industrial Dearness Allowance, perquisites under the cafeteria approach and other allowances, Contributory Provident Fund, Gratuity as per the Gratuity Act, free Medical Treatment for self and family etc. as per guidelines of the Company.
