LIC Assistant 2025 Selection Process
LIC mentions all the details about the selection process in its official notification. All the candidates can check the notification on the official website to know about the selection process.Preliminary Exam: This is the first stage of recruitment where the total number of questions is 100 and the maximum marks are 100. All candidates are given one hour divided into 20 minutes to complete all these multiple-choice questions.
Mains Exam: All the candidates listed in the preliminary exam will appear in the main exam where the total number of questions will be 200 and the maximum marks will be 200. All the contestants will have 150 minutes to answer these multiple-choice questions. This is the second stage of recruitment. Each session has 30 minutes to answer questions related to the topic.
Document verification: All candidates shortlisted for the main exam will go through the document verification round, which is the final round of recruitment. All participants must carry original documents during document verification.

- The Preliminary examination will be the first stage of the selection process and is qualifying in nature. It is conducted in Computer Based Test mode.
- Questions from three subjects, namely i.e., English language, Reasoning Ability, and Quantitative aptitude will be asked at this stage.
- All the subjects of the preliminary examination will account for 100 marks with sectional timing of 20 minutes for each subject.
- Number of questions answered correctly by a candidate in each objective test is considered for arriving at the score.
- There will be no negative marking for wrong answers. However, candidates are advised not to mark answers through random guessing.
