The SBI PO Apply Online 2026 process has officially started on 18 June 2026 along with the release of the SBI PO Notification 2026. Eligible candidates can now submit their application forms through the official SBI Careers portal. The online registration window will remain active till 8 July 2026.

Candidates interested in applying for the Probationary Officer (PO) post must complete the registration process, fill in personal and educational details, upload the required documents, and pay the application fee before the deadline. A valid email ID, mobile number, scanned photograph, signature, left thumb impression, and handwritten declaration are mandatory for successful submission of the SBI PO Application Form 2026.

The State Bank of India has announced 1500 Probationary Officer vacancies through SBI PO Recruitment 2026. Candidates are advised to submit their applications well before the closing date to avoid last-minute technical issues.

Here are simple steps to apply for the SBI PO 2026 Exam:
Step 1: Click the "NEW REGISTRATION" button at the top right corner of the provided link to start your registration process.
Step 2: Fill in your basic details like name, contact number, and email, then click "save and next."
Step 3: Upload a passport-sized photo with a white background and a clear signature in the specified format.
  • Photo: 200x230 pixels, size between 20kb to 50kb
  • Signature: 140x60 pixels, size between 10kb to 20kb
Step 4: In the first section, provide your category, disability status, loan/credit card disputes, SBI employment history, Aadhar and PAN card numbers, SBI PO exam attempts, and your exam center preferences.
Step 5: Next, enter personal details like your father's and mother's names, addresses, and more.
Step 6: In the second part of this section, fill in your educational qualifications.
Step 7: If you belong to a reserved category and want SBI PO Pre-Exam Training, select your training center preference.
Step 8:  After clicking "Submit," you will see a preview of your form. You will also receive an email and SMS with your registration number and password. After agreeing to the terms and conditions, press "Submit."
Step 9:  Upload required documents like your signature, photo, SBI PO Handwritten Declaration, and others as per the format.
Step 10:  Pay your application fee online using a Credit Card, Debit Card, or Net Banking.

Prerequisites for SBI PO Apply Online 2026

Here are the Pre-Requisites for SBI PO Online Application:
  • You need a valid email ID and an active mobile number.
  • Keep them active until the results are declared.
  • These are essential for receiving emails, SMS, call letters, and important communication from the bank.

Photograph

  • Dimension of the photograph should be 200 x 230 pixels (preferred)
  • Size of file should be between 20 kb and 50 kb
  • Candidates must ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 50kb. If the size of the file is more than 50 kb, then adjust the settings of the scanner, such as the DPI resolution, no. of colors, etc., during the process of scanning

Signature

  • Dimension of the signature should be 140 x 60 pixels (preferred)
  • Size of file should be between 10kb to 20kb
  • Ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 20kb
  • Signature in Capital Letters is not accepted

Left Hand Thumb Impression

  • The file type of the left thumb impression should be in JPG/JPEG format
  • The dimension of the left thumb impression should be 240 x 240 pixels in 200 DPI (Preferred for required quality) i.e., 3 cm x 3 cm (Width x Height)
  • The file size should be 20 kb-50 kb

Handwritten Declaration

  • The handwritten declaration should be written in English on white paper with black ink
  • The file type should be in jpg/jpeg. The dimension should be 800 x 400 pixels in 200 DPI (Preferred for required quality) i.e., 10 cm x 5 cm (Width x Height)
  • The file size should be 50 kb-100 kb
  • The handwritten declaration in capital letters is not accepted

  • There are two separate links for uploading a photograph and a signature
  • Click on the respective 'Upload Photograph/Signature' link
  • Browse and select the location where the scanned photograph and signature files are saved
  • Select the file by clicking on it
  • Click the 'Open/Upload' button

Step 2: Go to the latest announcements and select “SBI PO Recruitment 2026”.

Step 3: Click on the Login option and enter the Registration ID and Password.

Note: Candidates should note that only up to 3 changes to SBI PO application form are available. Once the data request is complete, applicants must submit the data by clicking on the submit button. After submission of the SBI PO application form, no changes/corrections will be allowed.

SBI PO Apply Online 2026 Handwritten Declaration

For the SBI PO 2026 application, candidates need to include a special handwritten note. This means you write a statement by hand, scan it, and then upload it, following the size and dimensions mentioned in the guidelines. This handwritten note should say:   “My name is ________ and I was born on _________. Everything I've provided in the application is accurate and true. If asked, I'll show proof. The signature, photo, and left thumbprint are genuinely mine.” Make sure you fill in your name and date of birth where indicated.

SBI PO Prelims Exam Centre 2026

The SBI PO Prelims Exam is held in the following cities for the registered candidates for SBI PO Vacancy. The SBI PO exam pattern consists of 100 objective questions divided into three sections. The total number of marks for the preliminary examination is 100. Candidates will be selected 10 times the number of slots for the main examination.
