SBI PO Syllabus 2025: It is important to note that the SBI PO exam is a bit challenging compared to other banking exams. As per the SBI PO Notification 2025, the State Bank of India has revised the SBI PO exam pattern for both prelims and main exams. The marks obtained in the Mains & Interview marks will be considered for the merit list.
The SBI PO Syllabus consists of three main sections you need to excel in for the preliminary exam: Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Language. To select eligible candidates for probationary officer posts, the State Bank of India conducts the SBI PO Exam in three stages: an online preliminary exam, a main exam, and an interview process. SBI PO Prelims Exam Pattern 2025
The SBI PO Prelims Exam has three subjects: English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability. It is a 100 mark online test that you will complete in 1 hour (60 minutes). For each section, 20 minutes are specified. There will be a negative marking of 1/4 mark for each incorrect response. No mark will be deducted for unmarked questions.
Note: Category-wise merit list will be created based on the total marks obtained in the Preliminary Exam. There will not be any sectional cut-off as candidates only need to attain overall cut off marks to get qualified in the examination. A total of approximately 10 times the number of vacancies in each category will be selected for the Main Examination.
SBI PO Mains Exam Pattern 2025
The SBI PO Mains Exam has four parts Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, Data Analysis & Interpretation, General/Economy/Banking Awareness, and English Language. You will have 3 hours for the objective test, with specific timings for each section. The total marks for these sections add up to 200. Additionally, there is a descriptive paper worth 50 marks, which you will take right after the objective test.
