CSEET October 2026 has an important announcement from the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI). The announcement is related to the empanelment of General Observers for the CSEET October 2026 session. The CSEET examination will be conducted at different examination centres in India and abroad. Eligible ICSI members can apply for the General Observer duty through the ICSI Observer Portal.

 

CSEET October 2026 Announcement

ICSI conducts the Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test (CSEET) three times a year in February, June and October. Local members of ICSI at examination centres may be appointed as General Observers. Their duty is to oversee the examination and help ensure that the CSEET is conducted smoothly.

ICSI has invited eligible members to apply for General Observer duty. The October 2026 CSEET examination is scheduled from 1 October 2026 to 6 October 2026.

The examination will be held at different examination centres across India and abroad. The announcement also gives the examination timetable and eligibility rules for members who want to apply as General Observers.

CSEET October 2026 Important Announcement for General Observers

CSEET October 2026 important announcement is for eligible ICSI members who want to work as General Observers. Interested members must apply through the ICSI Observer Portal.

Applications sent through any other mode will not be considered. Members should also make sure that the email ID and mobile number in their membership records are correct because portal credentials will be shared through these details.

Eligibility For General Observer Duty

  • The applicant must be an ICSI member.

  • The applicant's age should be at least 25 years and not more than 65 years on the application date.

  • The applicant's ICSI membership should be more than three years old without any break.

  • None of the applicant's trainees or relatives, as defined by ICSI, should be appearing for CSEET October 2026 at the examination centre where the applicant wants to serve.

  • The applicant should not be appearing in any ICSI examination.

  • The applicant should not be a member of the Council, Regional Council or Managing Committee of ICSI chapters.

  • The applicant should not be connected with ICSI oral tuition classes for CSEET.

  • The applicant should not be associated with a private coaching centre or ICSI study centre conducting CS course classes.

  • The applicant should not be a Counsellor or CS Mitr of ICSI.

  • No disciplinary or criminal proceedings should be pending against the applicant in any court, tribunal or other authority in India or abroad.

CSEET October 2026 Latest Update: Observer Portal Dates

CSEET October 2026 latest update includes the important dates for the General Observer Portal.

  • Portal opens: 10 August 2026

  • Last date to apply: 31 August 2026

  • Allotment of duties: 10 September 2026

Members who want to apply should complete the process within the given dates. Applications received after the closing date or through other methods will not be considered.

The General Observer empanelment is valid only for the session for which the member applies. Members must apply again for each CSEET examination session.

Honorarium for General Observers

Eligible members appointed for General Observer duty will receive an honorarium of Rs. 1,400 per day. The announcement states that no other allowance will be payable.

However, empanelment does not guarantee the allotment of General Observer duty. The final decision about duty allocation will remain with ICSI.
