- The objective of shortlisting is to limit the number of candidates to be interviewed, considering the available vacancies, essential qualifications, and other prescribed conditions.
- A set of norms, approved by the Competent Authority, is followed to rationalize interview board time and control the number of candidates called for an interview.
- The number of candidates shortlisted for interview depends on the number of vacancies:
- For one vacancy, up to 12 candidates are shortlisted.
- For 2-3 vacancies, up to 24 candidates are shortlisted.
- For 4-6 vacancies, up to 36 candidates are shortlisted.
- For 7-9 vacancies, up to 48 candidates are shortlisted.
