NTET 2024 Eligibility Criteria require candidates to have specific educational qualifications related to the Indian System of Medicine, including Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani, and Homeopathy. Applicants must possess recognized postgraduate degrees, such as B.A.M.S. with MD Ayurveda, B.S.M.S. with MD Siddha, B.U.M.S. with MD Unani, or B.H.M.S. with MD (Hom.), among other combinations. Candidates must complete a minimum of thirty months in a postgraduate program to qualify for the exam. Additionally, individuals currently working in non-teaching roles—such as medical officers or research officers—who wish to transition into teaching must also qualify for the NTET. For those aspiring to become Assistant Professors, Associate Professors, or Professors in the field, they must meet the age and qualification requirements established by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine regulations for each discipline.NTET 2024 Exam Pattern

NTET 2024 Qualifying Marks

- Validity : The Teachers’ eligibility shall be valid for a period of ten years from the date of qualifying NTET.
- Re-qualification : If a person fails to join within a period of ten years or breaks their teaching profession for more than ten years, they shall have to qualify NTET once again.
- Assessment : The NTET is to assess teaching aptitude, communication skills, classroom management, teaching technology, student psychology, andragogy, pedagogy, or other specified areas.
- Passing Criteria : A candidate who secures minimum of fifty percent and above shall be declared as qualified in NTET.
- Certificate : Qualified candidates shall be issued an ‘NTET Certificate’ by the respective Commission.
NTET 2024 Exam Centre
Candidates need to select four cities of their choice while filling out the online application form for NTET 2024. The examination centre will be allocated to candidates in accordance with the order of city preference listed in their application form. However, due to administrative and logistical reasons, a different city may be assigned to the candidate, despite their initial choice.
