TN TRB Assistant Professor Syllabus 2025 is intended to evaluate specific areas of competence, such as subject knowledge, research potential, and proficiency in Tamil as a language for recruitment in government colleges in Tamil Nadu. There are two papers for the exam: Paper I has 150 MCQs, and Paper II is a descriptive test.
The topics for both papers are at the postgraduate level, but Paper I also has general topics such as the Indian Constitution, Economy, History, Environment, Science (like Physics, Chemistry, and Biology), and Current Affairs. Part A of Paper I will address questions in the Tamil language, and Part B will address questions in the subject chosen by the candidate.
The descriptive section will consist of essay-type questions. In addition to the test, there will be an interview and experience marks, for a total of 230 marks. The syllabus is in accordance with UGC norms and standards.
