NIMCET Syllabus 2025: NIT carries out NIMCET every year to enroll graduates into MCA programs in different NITs and IIITs. NIMCET Syllabus 2025
NIMCET syllabus contains questions related to Computer Awareness, Mathematics, Analytical Ability & Logical Reasoning, and General English. The candidates need proficiency in all the mentioned subjects to clear the cut-off. Besides learning NIMCET Syllabus 2025, candidates must note the exam pattern to plan a powerful strategy to clear the exam with good marks. NIT has released the NIMCET Syllabus 2025 as the exam and all other respected dates has been announced. Aspirants should start their planning and preparations with the provided Syllabus to maintain confidence.
As per the latest notification, Mathematics has the highest weightage with 50 questions and 600 marks. After that, Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning carries 40 questions with 240 marks. Then, there are 20 questions in the Computer Awareness section for 120 marks. And, 10 questions for 40 marks are reserved for the English section. Also, candidates must note there is a provision of 25% negative marking for each incorrect response.

NIMCET Syllabus for Analytical Ability & Logical Reasoning
Paper 2 or Analytical Ability & Logical Reasoning contains the test of knowledge and intelligence of candidates. The paper contains questions based on logical situations and factual data. The candidates are supposed to analyze the situations with their aptitude and reasoning abilities.
NIMCET Syllabus for Computer Awareness
Paper 3 or Computer Awareness includes the following topics:
Computer Basics: Organization of a computer, Central Processing Unit (CPU), the structure of instructions in the CPU, input/output devices, computer memory, and backup devices.
Data Representation: Representation of characters, integers and fractions, binary and hexadecimal representations, binary arithmetic, simple arithmetic and two’s complement arithmetic, floating-point representation of numbers, Boolean algebra, truth tables, Venn diagrams.
NIMCET Syllabus for General English
For General English, the candidate needs to prepare the following topics:
Comprehension, vocabulary, Basic English Grammar, word power, synonyms and antonyms, meaning of words and phrases, and technical writing.
