NIMCET 2026

NIMCET 2026 can be a wonderful opportunity for Mathematics/Statistics/Engineering graduates to pursue MCA from the prestigious NITs and IIITs. It can help open the doors of a shining career path ahead. Further, the previous year’s NIMCET exam was held in June 2025. NIMCET 2026 Overview

NIMCET 2026 official notification has not yet been published online. Candidates can expect the release of an official advertisement for the NIMCET exam in March or April 2026. Students with Mathematics/Statistics/Engineering backgrounds can apply for this entrance test. Further, the test was held in online Computer-Based Test mode. We can expect the same for this year as well. Moreover, the examination contains topics from Mathematics, General English, Reasoning, etc.

NIMCET 2026 Notification (Soon)

Usually, the NIMCET exam notification is released in March or April. Therefore, interested students can expect the release of the NIMCET 2026 PDF notification in the same part of the year. Further, the notification contains important information about the exam date and schedule. Also, candidates will get to know about the NIMCET exam pattern and marking scheme in the official PDF advertisement. NIMCET 2026 Application Form

Candidates must be aware that after the NIMCET 2026 notification release, they will be notified to fill out the application forms. The application forms will be filled out online as per the general trends. Candidates should be ready with their academic certificates, photo ID proofs, and other necessary documents to upload during the application form filling process. 

NIMCET 2026 Application Fee

Candidates will be required to pay their application fee online using any suitable payment portal. Last year, the NIMCET Exam registration fee was ₹2500 for the unreserved category candidates and ₹1250 for the reserved category candidates. This year also, candidates can expect the application fee to remain the same or slightly change.

NIMCET Eligibility

As per the general trends, a candidate who wants to apply for NIMCET must fulfil the NIMCET Eligibility criteria. Otherwise, their candidature can be cancelled. The latest notification for the MCA combined entrance examination has not been released yet. Still, candidates can refer to the previous years’ criteria to check their eligibility status. There was no age limit in the previous years’ NIMCET. Also, candidates can apply for this test as long as they fulfil the other criteria.

 Note: After the release of the NIMCET official advertisement, candidates are advised to check their eligibility status. If it is valid, then only they shall proceed to fill out the NIMCET exam application form.

NIMCET Syllabus 2026

NIMCET Syllabus 2026 include Mathematics, Analytical Ability & Logical Reasoning, Computer Awareness, and General English, similar to previous years. The Mathematics section carries the maximum weightage and includes topics such as Algebra, Calculus, Coordinate Geometry, Trigonometry, Probability & Statistics, and Set Theory & Logic. Candidates should prepare thoroughly using graduation-level books for reasoning and aptitude.

The Analytical Ability & Logical Reasoning section includes verbal and non-verbal reasoning, puzzles, data interpretation, critical thinking, and numerical reasoning. Computer Awareness covers computer basics, hardware, software, data representation, and internet/email usage. General English tests comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, technical writing, and overall fluency.

Candidates must work on all four subjects to secure high marks and meet the NIMCET cut-off for admission to NITs and IIITs.

NIMCET Exam Pattern 2026

NIMCET exam 2026 is expected to be a computer-based test (CBT), similar to previous years. The exam will be conducted in English and is likely to have 120 multiple-choice questions carrying a total of 1000 marks. Negative marking will also apply for incorrect answers.
