CUET Eligibility Criteria 2025

Students are advised to check whether they fulfill the cuet eligibility criteria or not. The candidate must be a citizen of India. Students belonging to some other countries are not allowed to register for the exam.

  • For Undergraduate Programs :  Candidates belonging to the general category must have scored at least 50% marks in the 12th board exam. Whereas, students from the reserved category should have secured at least 45% marks in the 12th exams to be considered eligible for the CUET UG exam.
  • For Postgraduate Programmes : Students belonging to the general category who wish to apply for PG academic programs must own a bachelor's degree with at least 55% marks. Whereas, students from the reserved category must have passed with at least 50% marks in their bachelor's.

1. Be Aware of the Registration Deadline : The CUET 2025 registration process has a strict deadline. Make sure you complete your registration before the last date March 22, 2025. Missing the deadline means missing your chance to appear for the exam, so aim to complete the application well in advance to avoid last-minute technical glitches.

2. Keep Necessary Documents Ready : Before you start filling out the application form, gather all the required documents. These include your Class 10th and 12th mark sheets, a recent passport-size photograph, scanned signature, and valid ID proof (such as Aadhaar card, PAN card, or passport). Keeping these documents ready will save you time and reduce errors.

3. Fill in Your Details Carefully : Double-check all personal and academic details you enter in the application form. Any mistake, such as spelling errors or incorrect academic information, could lead to complications during the admission process. Candidates who will register for CUET exam will be able to download CUET Admit Card 2025 from the official website by following the below steps.

  • Visit the official website of NTA CUET.
  • Click on ‘CUET Admit Card 2025’ link.
  • Enter your login credentials and click on the submit button.
  • The admit card will be displayed on the screen. Candidates are advised to check all the filled details such as their name, roll number, exam center & timings of the exam, gender, medium opted on the admit card.
  • Click on download and save the admit card for future reference.

CUET Exam Pattern 2025

The exam is divided into 2 slots, one morning and one evening slots. The exam is divided into 3 sections and is compulsory to attend.

  • Section 1 is divided into 2 parts -A and B which comprise a language test and consist of 50 questions each of which has to be completed in 45 minutes.
  • Section 2 comprises domain-specific subjects, in which 50 questions are asked from this section.
  • Section 3 comprises a general test that has a total of 75 questions and has to be completed in 60 minutes.
  • The general test is based on general aptitude, mathematical problems, mental ability, and logical and analytical reasoning. All the questions are asked in multiple-choice format.

Ans. Yes, for every wrong answer, there will be a deduction of 0.25 marks and for every correct response 1 mark is awarded.
