CUCET 2024 Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the CUCET exams, central universities have established certain eligibility criteria. These are outlined below:- For Undergraduate programs: Students should have completed their 12th grade from a recognized university. General category students need a minimum score of 50%, while SC/ST category students require at least 45% to qualify.
- For Postgraduate programs: Those aiming for a master’s degree in central universities must possess a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university. The minimum scores are 55% (general category) and 50% (SC/ST category) in a relevant field.
- For PhD programs: Applicants seeking a PhD in central universities must hold a master’s degree from a recognized university. The eligibility criteria are 55% (general category) and 50% (SC/ST category) in the master’s degree. Candidates who have cleared JRF, UGC-CSIR, GATE, or equivalent exams are exempt from this test but still need to register for CUCET.
CUCET 2024 Exam Pattern

The entrance exam lasts for 2 hours and features multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Correct answers earn you one mark, while incorrect ones result in a deduction of 0.25 marks. Here's the exam pattern for UI & PG Programmes:- Part A: Includes 25 MCQs covering Language, General Awareness, Mathematical, and Analytical Skills.
- Part B: Comprises 75 MCQs related to Domain Knowledge. This section might have several subsections, each containing 25 questions.
RP Programmes
The research-based program's entrance exam had a duration of 2 hours and doesn't include any negative marking. The test is conducted in a computer-based format. Here's the exam pattern for RP Programmes:- Part A: Consists of 50 MCQs covering Language, General Awareness, Mathematics, Analytical Reasoning, and Research Methodology.
