NEW Rules For CUET 2025 Exam: UGC has introduced new rules for CUET 2025 exam. It will be only in Computer-Based Test mode. Students can choose up to five subjects, regardless of what they studied in Class 12. The total number of subjects has been reduced from 63 to 37. The duration of each exam will be 60 minutes with all questions being compulsory. There will be no optional questions. This change aims to simplify the exam process. CUET UG 2025 Application Form is expected to be released soon. The exam will take place in May 2025.
New Rules for CUET 2025 Exam
UGC has announced new rules for CUET 2025 exam. These changes are made to improve the exam experience for the appearing students. Candidates can check the new rules below.
- Exam Mode : CUET 2025 will be conducted only in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. The decision is made to make the exam more secure and reliable.
- Subject Selection : Students can now choose up to five subjects for the exam. This change gives students more freedom in selecting subjects of their interest. They can choose subjects regardless of what they studied in Class 12. This will allow students to explore different fields of study.
- Reduced Subjects : The total number of subjects has been reduced from 63 to 37. This includes 13 languages, 23 domain subjects, and a General Aptitude Test. The reduction aims to simplify the exam process and focus on essential subjects based on the university’s requirements.
- Exam Duration : Each subject exam will be conducted for 60 minutes. The duration will be the same for each Section. All questions will be compulsory, no optional questions will be there. Students need to attempt all the questions in the question paper.
