CDS physical standards mean candidates must be in good health, without any disease or disability, and fit to handle defence duties. Minimum height is 157.5 cm for men and 152 cm for women, with special relaxations for certain groups. Weight should match height and age as per defence charts underweight and overweight candidates are not allowed. Chest must be well developed and BMI should be below 25. Tattoos are allowed only on the inner forearm or back of the hand; candidates with tattoos elsewhere may not qualify.
