IICD Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet specific eligibility conditions before applying for the IICD Entrance Test 2027. These criteria ensure that only qualified individuals apply for the design programs. Details on nationality, age, and education are below.

Nationality: IICD accepts both Indian and international candidates, but foreign applicants must meet extra requirements, such as a visa and English language proof.

Indian Nationals: Candidates who are citizens of India are fully eligible to apply for all UG, PG, and diploma programmes.

SAARC / NRI / Foreign Nationals: Applicants from SAARC countries, NRIs, and other foreign nationals can also apply.

Additional Requirements for International Candidates

• Must have a valid passport

• Need to obtain a student visa/residential permit as per the Government of India rules

• Should provide IELTS/TOEFL scores as proof of English proficiency

Educational Qualification

The minimum educational qualifications vary by course.

• BDes: 10+2 from a recognized board of education. Students appearing in the qualifying examination are also eligible.

• MDes: Graduates with a design and architecture background (B.Des, B.Arch, B.A. in Design, B.Sc. in Design, B.Voc. in Design, or any other relevant graduation degree).

• MVoc: Graduates from a non-design background.

IICD Application Form - Documents Required

When filling out the IICD application form, applicants need to upload certain documents. These documents verify the candidate's identity and qualifications. Ensure all scanned images meet the specified file size and format requirements for a smooth application process.

• Candidate’s recent scanned image (100 to 200 KB, JPEG/JPG, Color/Black/White background)

• Scanned image of the candidate’s signature (20 to 50 KB, JPEG/JPG, Blue/Black color on a white background)

• Aadhar card as a photo identity cum address proof (100 to 200 KB, JPEG/JPG, Color/Black/White)

IICD Application Fee

The application fee for the IICD Entrance Test must be paid online. This fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. The payment methods are secure and convenient. Foreign nationals have a different fee structure.

•  Foreign nationals must pay ₹3500 as the application fee. 

• Payment can be made using Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking.
