NID DAT Counselling 2024 : The National Institute of Design (NID) will conduct its NID DAT counseling session for 2024 in May of the same year. This session will be facilitated online, ensuring convenience for all eligible candidates who have successfully cleared the NID DAT 2024. For B.Des candidates, a crucial step in the counseling process involves submitting their campus preferences, which can be done between May 21 and May 23, 2024. Subsequently, seat allotment will occur on May 29, 2024. To confirm their seats, candidates must remit a token fee and upload necessary documents within the period from May 29 to May 31, 2024. Campus Preference for B.Des Admission
Upon successful qualification in the NID DAT 2024 examination, candidates are required to indicate their campus preferences upon accessing their results. After logging into the result portal, candidates will be prompted to submit their campus preferences, which must be arranged in order of priority. Candidates are permitted to modify their campus preferences until the final date. It is imperative to select campus preferences; failure to do so will result in disqualification, rendering the candidate ineligible for admission to the B.Des program. In the event that a candidate does not provide any preferences, they will be disqualified, and the vacant seat will be offered to the subsequent candidate in the merit order.NID 2024 Counselling Procedure

- Log into the NID DAT 2024 result portal to check qualification.

Step 2: Campus Preference Submission (only for B.Des applicants)
- B.Des candidates must submit preferred campuses in priority order.
- Failure to select options may lead to disqualification.

Step 3: Seat Allocation
- Seat allocation based on factors like seat availability, merit rank, chosen campus preferences, and category.

Upon allocation, confirm seats by:
- Making the relevant non-refundable seat-acceptance payment.
- Uploading necessary documents.

- Birth Certificate OR School Leaving Certificate
- Category certificates (if applicable)
- Class 10 and 12 Marksheets, etc.

The National Institute of Design announced the DAT Prelims results for M.Des programs on February 16, while for the B.Des program, they were declared on April 4, 2024. Those who successfully cleared the DAT Prelims proceeded to the DAT Mains stage.
