NIFT Fee Hike: The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) has provided an overall estimation of the NIFT fee hike in the BDes course. The NIFT fees now stand at Rs 13,40,500 lakhs for the entire course duration, with the tuition fees around Rs 1,91,700 per semester. NIFT fee hike includes an increment in tuition fee, library, mediclaim, examination, and other mandatory charges, along with one-time payments like security deposit and registration fee. NIFT Fee Hike From Academic Year 2021-22 to 2025-26
The total BDes course fees increased from around Rs 11.34 lakh in 2021-22 to Rs 13.40 lakh in 2025-26 for non-NRI students. BDes semester 7 fees soar to the highest limits, exceeding Rs 2 lakh in recent years, while other semesters show moderate increments. Despite the NIFT fee hike, the NIFT campuses offer scholarships and financial aid to reserved categories to ease the financial burden.
Semester Wise NIFT Fee Hike for Non-NRI Candidates
The semester-wise NIFT fee hike for the academic year 2021-22 to 2025-26 is provided below for non-NRI candidates. BDes semester 1 includes a one-time registration fee, and the final semesters may have an alumni association membership fee. The fees apply uniformly across all NIFT campuses.
