UCEED Syllabus 2025

UCEED Syllabus 2026:  The official UCEED Syllabus 2026 has been released on the official website by the IIT, Bombay, along with the application form. The syllabus will be available on the IIT Bombay admission portal. The UCEED 2026 entrance exam will consist of two parts, i.e., Part A and Part B. Part A will be a computer-based test having three distinct sections, namely, NAT, MSQ, and MCQ. Part B will be divided into two parts, i.e., the drawing-based section and the Design Aptitude section.

From each section, one question will be asked. The UCEED Entrance Exam for the B.Des Programme at IIT Bombay is set for January 18, 2026 (Sunday). The exam will run from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Candidates for admission to Design undergraduate programs, such as B.Des at IITs, must apply and take the UCEED Exam. The official brochure for UCEED will be released on October 1, 2025.

UCEED Exam 2026

IIT Bombay plan to organize the UCEED 2026 on January 18, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. On October 1, 2025, the official notification will be posted on the official website. The UCEED Exam is divided into two parts: Part A will be computer-based, and Part B will be a pen-and-paper drawing test, both of which must be completed in 3 hours.
UCEED Exam 2026 Part A will comprise NAT, MSQ, and MCQ questions, while Part B will include sketching and visualisation skills. The UCEED Exam will assess students' creativity, design, and problem-solving skills rather than their academic knowledge.

UCEED Syllabus 2026 Subject-Wise 

The UCEED syllabus has been revised by IIT Bombay in the previous edition. Part A will be a computer-based exam including NAT, MCQ, and MSQ-type questions. The test will last for 2 hours. Part B of the UCEED test will have two subjective-type questions and will last for 1 hour.

As per the revised UCEED Syllabus 2026 for Part A, the IIT Bombay has included practical and scientific knowledge, visualization, spatial reasoning, design sensitivity, language, and creativity, environment and society, and analytical and logical reasoning.

Revised Syllabus for UCEED Part B 2026

The revised UCEED syllabus 2026 for Part B includes a new topic, i.e., "Design Aptitude". It consists of only two questions for 50 marks each, according to the UCEED exam pattern. The test lasts for 1 hour. The questions evaluate the candidate's drawing skills, which will require subjective evaluation.

UCEED 2026 Exam Pattern

The UCEED entrance exam is bifurcated into two parts namely, Part A and Part B. Part A includes NAT, MSQ, and MCQ questions, while Part B consists of two questions, one on Sketching and the other on Design aptitude. Part A will be a computer-based paper, and Part B will be held offline.

How many colleges accept UCEED?

There are a total of six participating institutes of UCEED 2026 namely, IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIITDM Jabalpur, IIT Delhi, and IIT Roorkee. IIT Roorkee is a new entrant this year and IIT Bombay has revised the seat matrix for UCEED 2024.

Is UCEED online or offline?

UCEED is an offline entrance exam. The UCEED entrance exam is bifurcated into two parts namely, Part A and Part B. Part A includes NAT, MSQ, and MCQ questions, while Part B consists of two questions, one on Sketching and the other on Design aptitude.

Is there negative marking in UCEED?

No, there is no negative marking in the UCEED entrance exam.

Is GK asked in UCEED 2026?

There were no GK questions in the exam. Part A included aptitude questions based on Mathematics, verbal reasoning, and non-verbal reasoning. In the UCEED 2024 there were a total of 18 numerical ability type (NAT) questions, 18 multiple-select questions (MSQs), and 32 multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
