IIT Bombay has yet to announce the UCEED syllabus 2026. Once it is announced officially, we will update it accordingly. Based on the previous years’ exam pattern, UCEED 2026 will be divided into two parts, i.e., Part A and Part B. Part A evaluates abilities in visualization, spatial reasoning, practical and scientific knowledge, observation and design sensitivity, environment and society, analytical and logical reasoning, language, and creativity. Part B focuses on drawing and design aptitude, testing candidates’ ability to sketch, compose, and respond creatively to design problems. The syllabus includes topics that evaluate both reactive and analytical thinking of the candidates.
UCEED Part A will have questions from the following topics.
The following topics will be included in the UCEED 2026 syllabus for Part B.
Based on the previous years’ exam analysis, the following are some important topics asked frequently in the UCEED entrance exam. These topics contribute more than 10% to the exam.
1. Visualization and spatial reasoning
2. Observation and Design Sensitivity
3. Cognition and Problem-Solving
4. Quantitative Aptitude
The preparation books are specialized study materials designed to cover all sections of the UCEED exam, including visualization, reasoning, creativity, drawing, and design aptitude. Using these resources ensures focused preparation, effective revision, and improved performance in both Part A and Part B of UCEED 2026.
The following table gives the list of preparation books for Part A.
Here is the list of preparation books for UCEED Part B.
Some of the preparation tips for the UCEED 2026 are as follows.
UCEED Part B evaluates drawing ability and design aptitude through two descriptive questions: one requiring sketching and the other assessing practical and creative problem-solving.
