As to the most recent guidelines from the CBSE board, students in Class 11 need to submit a Class 11 Accountancy Project by the end of the 2023–2024 school year.

Objectives of Class 11 Accountancy Project

• Students will benefit from the project report as they learn about and comprehend financial statement analysis.
• It gives students the ability to imagine commercial interactions that do not yet exist.
• Students will understand bank books, cash books, and other accounting proformas in addition to learning about ledgers and balance sheets.
• Students will have a better grasp of the objectives, advantages, and constraints of accounting by creating a project.

Guidelines for Class 11 Accountancy Project

• The Accounts Project for Class 11 is divided into three sections: Part A, Part B, and Part C, which include the written exam, viva, and project report.
• The project reports provide a total of 20 points to the overall project evaluation, with 12 points assigned to the written component, 04 points for the viva voce, and an extra 04 points for the project report.
• Prior to the start of examinations in March, students must submit their project reports.
• As part of the project report preparation, students are responsible with collecting data, producing vouchers, and documenting transactions using the acquired vouchers.
• The allotted project includes recording journal entries, uploading them to ledgers, and creating a trial balance for a single-ownership firm.
• Balance sheets, trade accounts, profit and loss statements, accounts receivable and payable, income and profit analysis, costs, liabilities, and assets should all be included in the entire project report.

1. Give students a range of business choices for their choice, which might include but are not restricted to:

• Kiddies wear
• Saree shop
• Artificial jewelry shop
• Small restaurant
• Sweet shop
• Grocery shop
• Shoe shop

2. After making a decision, encourage students to visit a local business within the chosen area to gain real insights.
3. Stress the value of personal observation to help students picture the necessary expenses and understand the unique requirements of their chosen business form.
4. Highlight the importance of assessing the local market and business environment to make educated choices about the type of things and tools they need for their company.
5. Guide students to consider all aspects, including financial consequences and practical needs, by seeing things directly in a local business setting.
